The Great Game Finish Fest
I'm one of those gamers. And by those gamers, I mean the kind that buy games constantly. I'll buy a game on day one, drop fifty dollars, spend two hours with the game and move on. I visit Cheap Ass Gamer on a regular basis to pick up the occasional liquidated title that never sees the inside of a console (Chrono Cross, Crazy Taxi 3, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Vib Ribbon).
Those days are over. Or, they will be, following the completion of the Great Game Finish Fest. Between May 1 and December 25, I will be "finishing" the following dust-collecting games:
- Castlevania: Lament of Innocence (PS2)
- Champions of Norrath (PS2) finished 05/02
- Chrono Cross (PSX)
- Disgaea: Hour of Darkness (PS2)
- Final Fantasy X (PS2) - unloaded this nonsense for $10, just painful
- Grand Theft Auto III (PS2)
- Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (PS2)
- Grim Fandango (PC)
- Halo (Xbox)
- Incredible Crisis (PSX)
- Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (GC)
- Manhunt (PS2) finished 05/30
- Mark of Kri (PS2)
- Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne (PC)
- Metroid Prime (GC) finished 06/19
- Otogi: Myth of Demons (Xbox)
- Panzer Dragoon Orta (Xbox)
- Sly Cooper and the Thevius Raccoonus (PS2)
- Super Mario Sunshine (GC)
- SSX 3 (PS2)
- Vagrant Story (PSX)
- Viewtiful Joe (GC)
- Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos (PC)
- Xenogears (PSX)
That's 24 games in 35 weeks (not including upcoming purchases such as Samurai Warriors, Half Life 2, Doom III, Metal Slug 3, Gradius V, Front Mission 4, Way of the Samurai 2, etc). Some are close to being done, while some have yet to make it past the initial loading screen. Each one will see a 500 word review following its completion (apologies to my employer) and will checked off on this list with it's completion date.
Wish me luck!
