We Respect The Early Video Games

We've said it before: American made video game t-shirts are awful. Yes, the one you have. Yes, that Gameskins one, too. And that Penny Arcade tee isn't "funny" in the slightest. Sorry, your Legend of Zelda windbreaker from Hot Topic gets filed under A (for awful!) as well.

Okay. We have one exception to the rule. But that's it!

We've touched on the mind-blowingly good design that comes from shops like Mars16, The King of Games and Syuriken, but we've got more design envy in store. This time, it's from Raid=Gig and Namco. The two have teamed up to produce a new line of fine wearables dubbed NG and the first entry is, unsuprisingly, a Pac-Man tee.

That lovely wearable is the graphic offspring of one Mr. Tsuyoshi Hirooka. Hirooka has had his design validated by labels such as 2K and the uber-excellent Beams T. The latter used the traditional Mario cartoon design, transforming it into something actually wearable.

It's.. holy shit... subtlety?

Mario is playing basketball! Mario is riding a go-kart! Mario is subtle!

We'll keep our eyes peeled for more of the Raid=Gig NG line and let you know if we can get our hands on some.
